Pain.

Don't Tell Me by Avril Lavigne

Face Down by The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus

Confessions Part I and II by Usher

[In terms of the concept of the song] I chose these videos because they show similar concepts regarding how men mistreat women. They may show different forms of mistreatment like abuse, deception, and infidelity but they all illustrate how men seem dominant in a relationship and treat their partners wrongly. [The video itself] Another reason is while I was watching the selected videos again, I noticed that they used similar elements like the breaking of glass and other furniture.

[Thesis Statement] A critical analysis of selected music videos with different perspectives show similarities in the way men mistreat women and dominate a relationship.

Stroll.

Tale of an unusual WAKE UP call:
I thought that this would just be like any other Sunday...i was greatly mistaken. Here I am minding my own business...watching TV, lying on my bed when suddenly a familiar sound made its way into my ears. My cellphone lit up, signaling the existence of yet another message. I neglected my slothful nature and reached out to grab it...and read.
*...reading...*
O_O
What The... two of my friends suddenly told me that they were coming over! OMG! Dude, I was barely awake but the message stroked me like the irritating sound of an annoying alarm clock. I checked for the time, and it was almost 12 noon. Yes, I'm no morning person. I love lounging around during the weekends, but sadly today was different. Me had to get up "early". Ugh.
But then again, today was really fun. Got to spend time with Lexis and Nicol.^^ We intruded in Martha's cleaning. *giggles* sorry for that. Raun even stopped by, but had to leave soon. Anyway, thanks alot for today you guys.=3

Our Time Is Up.

One of my classmates said that the movie showed the importance of the time we have and our life itself, and I think he had a point. Don't you find it odd that most people, especially professionals, go through the same routines over and over again? It's like everyday is always the same, nothing new, and full of sequences of repetitions. The movie shows this situation clearly as it illustrated doctor Stern's daily routine. This was done by filling the first few scenes with inanimate objects that are involved in his routines.

I really enjoyed this short film. It was a combination of serious situations, humor, and it included common stereotypes found in our society. The film starts out showing the doctor's routines as mentioned above. he suddenly receives a call from another doctor seeking advice from him on dealing with patients but he didn't really entertain him. He then starts his daily consultation hours with his patients. His patients in order of time of consultation were namely a womanizer, a bulimic, the guy who is not interested in women, the germ phobic woman, man afraid of turtles, the abused boy friend, the fondler, and the guy terrified of the dark. As the day closes, he receives another phone call from yet another doctor regarding the results of his brain scan. Then, everything changed after that. He normally didn't really took much interest in the concerns of his patients. Now, he addresses them straight on with what's really wrong with them. He did things beyond his routines. One by one his patients appreciated what he did for them and thanked him. At the end, he received the same phone call that he got earlier. It was the intern seeking help regarding his patients. This time, Dr. Stern accommodated him in the hope of solving his dilemma.

My theme analysis for this short film would be to value the time and life that was given to us. We do not know how much longer we have left. Do not waste the chance to make a difference in another person's life.

Forget Me Not.

Most students at present undergo a time of deep denial or forgetfulness and are forced to act quickly to get out of it. People refer to this act of accelerating movement to accomplish a task as "cramming". Admit it or not, one way or another, you have committed this deed. We all have. We are guilty of putting off our duties for another time instead of doing it right there and there or getting it done earlier. People who are always dragged into this action seemingly say that they lack the time of day to do the certain requirement. They have too much things to do of, I think, greater priority. On the other hand, there are those who just lack the motivation to do it or to simply put it lazy. On rare occasions, however, people really do tend to forget the job completely.

Others have learned to master the art of cramming and are no stranger to its effects. none the less, there are still those who suffer on its account. Some are unable to meet the deadline, others complain due to their lack of sleep just to complete what they need to do. Cramming has both a good and bad side to it. Still, nothing beats doing the job earlier to avoid further inconvenience. Although I admit, I prefer cramming. Let's just say that it gives me that certain incentive to do a better job.

Reminisce.

Walking pass an old memorable space, looking at it brings back memories of events from way back.

Its hard to imagine that things don't really stay the way they are. We can say that some still do but most of the time they become elements of our past, which lie within the subconscious part of our being. Who could have thought that we were once little children, fooling around with our childhood friends? Look at us now. We go through things that we never thought we would.

...HELLO>>...pain...anger...frustration...momentary happiness...sadness...forget...>>FAREWELL...

Why do you think we are led to meet people who we eventually have to part from? Why do we have to say goodbye to those who were with us for 4 years? Remember all the times you've spent with high school friends during free periods. Long walks around campus when you've got nothing better to do. Group studies outside the classroom just before tests. Sweet, tender moments with your high school love.

Graduation

Girl: Nothing will change right?
Boy: Of course not.
Girl: Promise?
Boy: Promise. We'll make this work. No matter how far we are from each other. Nothing will change.

After several months Apart

Girl: What's happening to us?
Boy: I don't know.
Girl: You don't have time for me like before. Remember? When were together in school?
Boy: I know. I'm sorry. I really have a lot to do now...so I can't really talk to you a lot. Hope you understand.
Girl: Maybe let's just stop.
Boy: Why??? Are you giving up? Don't you love me anymore?
Girl: I do love you...but...I just don't want to be one of your BURDEN.

No Reservations.

The lead character Kate, a master chef who works at upscale 22 Bleecker Restaurant in Manhattan, has her heart set out on only focusing her attention and time on her culinary concoctions. She focuses too much on her profession and her kitchen that she becomes so uptight and intimidates everyone around her. She's so much of a perfectionist that she focuses so much on the little details on her platting and is easily offended by side comments on her food.

Her perfectionist ways are tested with the arrival of two new occurrences. First, she was left to be the guardian of her sister's daughter, Zoe. Her sister and nine-year-old niece were in an accident in which her sister didn't survive. Zoe was left speechless and Kate found it hard to get through to her. Second was the appearance of her brand new sous-chef Nick. He also very talented and high-spirited by nature. Kate felt threatened by him and feared that he was going to take her kitchen, her life away from her.

As weeks progressed, she discovered that the high-spirited Nick could be the bridge she needed to reach out to Zoe. She also realized she might be trying things that she normally doesn't do and that includes opening up to other people; allowing them to get close to her, including Nick. She also found out that she's been focused so much on the little details that she locks people out. She was about to loose Nick. With help of her niece, She decided to make a choice. She quit her job and stopped Nick from going to San Francisco. They opened a new restaurant of their own, Hers, Nick's and of coarse Zoe's.^^

Don't limit your life to what you already have, there are other things that are more important. Learn to be open and express your self freely in front of other people.

Tech Trend.

This might be a long entry so
maybe only a view would have the patience to actually read it to the end.^^

These days almost everyone has either their own laptop or a personal computer, and some even both. But for those who haven't been up to date yet with the world's self proclaimed new best friend and are currently thinking of getting one, here are some of the pros and cons of each type of computer. In terms of portability, you can take a laptop almost anywhere as long as you have the proper gear to carry it around with you. On the other hand, a personal computer [PC] is quite the opposite; it can only stay in one place and more or less you would have difficulty in moving it from place to place. From what I've seen, laptops cost more than a personal computer. They are sold at around P50,000 and above while a PC set can go for around P40,000-50,000 or less depending on the brand of its hardware. Their difference in cost is due to the number hardware or parts in a set. Laptops can be bought as a whole while PCs are bought by parts.

When talking about durability, it pretty much depends on the user. A laptop can last a long time if the user is careful enough and the same goes for your PC. However, they differ when it comes to repair. Laptops take longer to be restored. This is due to the difficulty in acquiring parts; parts are considered made to order. Parts for PCs on the other hand are available anytime and in almost all computer stores. Laptops are easily phased out because of all the new models that comes out. For PCs, mostly only their operating systems[OS] are being phased out. Since we're on the topic of OS, most software are compatible with both computers. But for laptops, its memory is only limited unlike that of PCs which can be upgraded.

They differ so much in terms of design. Laptops again change their design as a whole. There's a change in their exterior design in terms of its shape and color. The newest design for a laptop is that its monitor can be twisted and turned into a tablet with touch screen capabilities. PCs change by part or hardware; monitors bocome thiner, keyboards become smaller, and some CPUs become see through.

I have both but personally I prefer using my laptop. I use my PC and laptop for personal reasons. However, I can easily bring my laptop to school and it sure does come in handy sometimes.^^

Confused.

A girl quietly wasting time away within the four corners of her hollow room. Taking all the silence surround her. Echoes of other beings seem so far away. She's in a different world. She only hears a conversation between her subconscious companions, her heart and her mind. Talking about the world that she's presently in, that of Confusion.

"What's wrong with her? She doesn't care about me. [Heart] I'm slowly being broken up into tiny bits and pieces. Doesn't she care what happens to me, her heart?"
"You know she doesn't. She doesn't care if she gets hurt. She doesn't want other people to suffer on her account"
"I feel sorry for her. She isn't sure about things especially now."
"Confusion is engulfing her soul."

She continues to stare into space. Now, talking to herself about a person of her tormented past and of someone new, a person currently making her smile.
"What is this that I'm feeling?"
"Should I hold on to him? or should I stop?"
"I don't want him to get hurt...I really don't. But somehow I like being with someone else."
"He makes me happy."
"Do I really like him or is it just because of something else?"
"What should I do?"
"I still love him...but I feel something different."

"What is she to do? Give up her lover for another? Hold on to him even if she knows its forbidden? Help her. Please. We beg of you. We don't know how much more she can take. We try to help her with all our might but we're just not enough. She needs someone else to lift her from her sadness."
- Her Heart and Mind
*I'm being sentimental again. Oh well.^^ Thanks for reading this 'sad' entry. I just thought of it this week while talking to someone. To that person, thank you.^^ [you know who you are]*
